    National Pollution Prevention Day: In India, December 2, is observed as National Pollution Prevention Day to mark the anniversary of the Bhopal gas disaster which took place on the night of December 2, 1984. The fatal gas MIC     (Methyl iso cynate) killed over 2500 people.
